Garnish Island, Glengarriff & The Healy Pass
This beautiful 14-hectare “Gulf Stream” Island is world famous for its natural scenic beauty and its magnificent formal “Italian Garden” with wonderful examples of Architecture integrated into the overall plan. Its plant life reflects the Gulf Stream Climate, with many rare plants, normally only found in warmer climes.
The island is situated in Glengarriff allowing you to enjoy two beautiful scenic drives: Going south from Moll’s Gap through Kenmare and over the pass in to Glengarriff and on the return, come back over the Healy Pass with its magnificent views and surroundings. Descending back in to Killarney from Kenmare, you will enjoy Ladies View and the Killarney Lakes as they open out before you.
